Joel Malkin is a graphic designer and illustrator specializing in brand identity and visual systems for the hospitality and lifestyle sectors. Since 2017, he has become a go-to collaborator for many of Canada’s most celebrated restaurants, creating the visual identity for establishments such as Joe Beef, Vin Mon Lapin, Bernhardt's, and Prime Seafood Palace.
With a BFA in Studio Art and Graphic Design from Concordia University, Joel’s work is rooted in foundational draftsmanship and a "hand-drawn" aesthetic. This approach has led to high-profile commissions beyond the dining room, including global holiday packaging for KFC, apparel for Friends with Animals, and editorial illustrations for Penguin Random House.
Now based in Toronto, Joel continues to partner with ambitious brands to build cohesive, narrative-driven identities that stand out in a crowded market.
